Andrew Poreda

Andrew S. Poreda is Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at Sage Advisory in Austin, TX, where he specializes in Responsible Investing with an emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) integration and sustainable investment strategies. In this role, he leads analysis and research for Sage’s Responsible Investing team and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee, contributing to ESG methodologies and stewardship frameworks focused on fixed income asset classes and sustainable portfolio solutions.

Before joining Sage Advisory, Andrew began his professional journey as a Naval Aviator with the U.S. Navy, serving on active duty for 13 years and now continuing as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He has recently been appointed as an Investment Advisory Committee Member for the DOD Investment Board at the United States Department of Defense. His investment research covers sectors related to ESG risks and opportunities, fixed income securities, and sustainable investing across institutional portfolios.

Andrew holds an MBA with Distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Rice University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential holder, and has a Sustainable Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute. Throughout his career, Andrew has been recognized for his expertise in integrating ESG insights into investment analysis, helping institutional clients navigate the evolving landscape of sustainable and responsible investment practices.
