Frank Reichel

Frank Reichel is a former CEO, President, and Portfolio Manager at Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC (TSW), a Richmond, Virginia-based investment management firm. As CEO and Portfolio Manager through December 2020, he led the firm’s day-to-day management, with responsibilities that spanned investments, institutional client service, sales and marketing, and trading. He has remained involved at TSW as a Senior Advisor and Portfolio Manager.

Reichel is recognized for his expertise in small cap and small/mid cap value strategies, having managed both the TS&W Small Cap Value and Small/Mid Cap Value portfolios. His investment approach and leadership have been profiled in prominent publications such as Forbes, Barron’s, and The Washington Post, and he is frequently cited for his distinctive value investing style within the small cap equity sector.

Before joining TSW, Reichel was Managing Partner at Stratton Management Company, where he created and managed the Stratton Small Cap Value Fund. He holds an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Reichel is also a CFA and CAIA charterholder, highlighting his broad expertise in both traditional and alternative investments.
