Winston Hu

Winston Hu is a Senior Research Analyst at Tran Capital Management, L.P., where he plays a key role in the firm’s concentrated, high-conviction, multi-cap growth equity strategies. His responsibilities include rigorous equity research, portfolio construction, and long-term investment idea generation, with a strong focus on identifying high-quality companies with durable competitive advantages. Winston specializes in public equity investments across all market capitalizations, constructing portfolios that emphasize structural compounders within sectors broadly represented in the S&P 500, such as technology, healthcare, consumer discretionary, and financials.

Prior to joining Tran Capital Management in 2017, Winston was an Investment Associate at Crescent Capital Group LP and an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS. His professional background covers both buy-side and sell-side roles, providing him with analytical expertise across credit and equity markets.

Winston holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, where he completed the Value Investing Program, and a B.A. in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.
