Tyler Walk

Tyler Walk is an Investment Analyst at Appaloosa Management LP, based in Short Hills, New Jersey. In this role since 2014, he is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing investments that align with Appaloosa's strategic focus on distressed debt, public equities, and fixed income opportunities, working directly with the firm's senior investment team. Walk's coverage primarily includes sectors with distressed or special situation profiles, such as corporate credit, high-yield bonds, and restructuring opportunities, reflecting Appaloosa Management's reputation as a specialist in these asset classes.

Prior to joining Appaloosa, Walk was a Private Equity Investment Associate at Clayton Dubilier & Rice, where he evaluated leveraged buyouts and growth investments, and also completed an investment analyst internship at Appaloosa in 2013. His experience in both private equity and hedge fund environments has equipped him with a robust analytical skillset and a deep understanding of complex capital structures.

Walk holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, where he focused on value investing, and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Mathematics from the University of Virginia. His expertise in distressed credit, special situations, and value-oriented equity analysis has contributed to Appaloosa Management’s continued success in the hedge fund industry.
