Jonathan Barzideh is a Partner at Canyon Partners, LLC in Los Angeles, serving as Co-Head of Opportunistic Credit and Portfolio Manager for Canyon’s ESG investment strategy. In this capacity, he oversees the firm's asset-backed finance activities and leads investment efforts in bankruptcy claims and risk arbitrage, with a particular focus on complex, event-driven credit situations.

Since joining Canyon in 2007, Mr. Barzideh has advanced through several leadership roles, notably building expertise in opportunistic and distressed credit, structured products, and special situations. His responsibilities span sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and management of investments across public and private credit markets, with targeted engagement in asset-backed securities and ESG-focused mandates.

Mr. Barzideh earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in finance, statistics, and mathematics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His achievements include establishing and managing key credit investment platforms at Canyon, contributing to the firm's leadership in opportunistic, structured, and event-driven credit strategies.
