Patrick Banich

Patrick Banich is an Associate within the Real Estate Investment team at Canyon Partners, LLC, having joined the firm in 2025. In his current role, he primarily focuses on underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and execution of equity investments, structured products, and secondary note acquisitions across the United States. His work covers a broad range of real estate asset classes, contributing to Canyon’s value-add and opportunistic real estate strategies.

Prior to joining Canyon Partners, Patrick held analyst positions in real estate private equity at Ares Management Corporation, where he was responsible for underwriting, executing, and asset management of real estate equity investments. His professional experience spans all aspects of transaction analysis, from deal sourcing to post-acquisition asset management, giving him comprehensive insight into the U.S. real estate investment landscape.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, with minors in Real Estate and Philosophy. His background demonstrates a strong foundation in real estate finance and investment, with a particular emphasis on institutional real estate equity deals and complex investment structures.
