Cedric Xia

Cedric H. Xia, MD, PhD, is an Associate and biotech analyst at Deep Track Capital, LP, based in New York, NY. In this role, he focuses on investments in the biotechnology sector, applying his expertise to identify and evaluate early- and late-stage biopharmaceutical companies, with an emphasis on novel therapeutics and innovation within the life sciences industry.

Before joining Deep Track Capital, Cedric served as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised biopharma clients and investors on strategic, operational, and R&D-related issues. Prior to that, he completed his MD-PhD research at the University of Pennsylvania, where he conducted neuroscience research integrating machine learning and big data approaches, resulting in over twenty peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals.

Cedric holds an MD and PhD in neuroscience from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
