Rael Mazansky

Rael Mazansky, MD/MBA, is Managing Director at Deep Track Capital, a Greenwich, CT-based investment firm focused exclusively on the life sciences, particularly biotechnology. In this role, he leads investments in both public and pre-IPO biotechnology companies, leveraging more than 25 years of experience in healthcare investing, including over 15 years specializing in buyside biotechnology transactions, partnership development, and syndicate-building.

Dr. Mazansky’s investment focus centers on the biotechnology and broader healthcare sectors, with a track record spanning operational due diligence, crossover investment, and public equity strategies. Throughout his career, he has held senior investment and research positions at firms such as Nexthera Capital, Kalex Capital, Sigma Capital, Ridgeback Capital, Perceptive Life Sciences, Surveyor Capital (Citadel), and Credit Suisse, often driving portfolio management and sector research.

He holds an MD from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, as well as a BA from Brown University.
