Jason Fuller

Jason Fuller, Ph.D., is a Partner at Deerfield Management in New York, where he serves on the Therapeutics team and leads investments in innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments in therapeutics, as well as working closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation and advance clinical programs. Dr. Fuller focuses specifically on the therapeutics sector, with additional experience in tools and diagnostics developed during his previous investment roles.

Before joining Deerfield in 2021, Dr. Fuller was a Principal at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), where he co-managed investments in therapeutics, tools, and diagnostics, and contributed to company formation within the life sciences industry. Earlier, as Director of Corporate Development at Jounce Therapeutics, he helped initiate and develop early-stage biotech ventures. His industry background is distinguished by leadership in venture capital and corporate development for high-impact healthcare startups.

Dr. Fuller holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, conducted in the lab of Professor Robert Langer, an M.Phil. in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is recognized for his deep expertise in drug discovery, translational science, and emerging therapeutics, contributing to the advancement of novel therapies for both rare and common diseases.
