Clinton Biondo

Clinton Biondo is a Managing Partner and Managing Director at Fir Tree Capital Management LP, a multibillion-dollar hedge fund with offices in New York and Miami. He oversees all investment activities of the firm and, together with David Sultan, is responsible for the management and development of the investment team, directly shaping the firm’s strategy across its core businesses.

His investment expertise spans distressed credit, structured credit, and residential real estate, as well as energy sector initiatives and activist strategic debt and equity deals. Over more than 20 years in finance and investment management, Biondo has led major transactions and activist campaigns, particularly within residential real estate and energy, actively engaging in both public and private market investments.

Before joining Fir Tree Partners in 2005, Biondo held notable positions at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, where he focused on leveraged buyout investments, and at The Blackstone Group’s mergers and acquisitions group. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance, graduating with High Honors from the Business Honors Program at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, and is recognized for his leadership in hedge fund management and strategic activist investments in the credit and real assets sectors.
