Dan Lifshitz

Dan Lifshitz is a Partner at Fir Tree Capital Management LP in New York, where he has been with the firm since 2002, holding senior investment and leadership roles including Partner and Managing Director. At Fir Tree, he is responsible for overseeing investments across diverse strategies, with a focus on fundamental, value-driven approaches to both public and private markets.

His expertise spans multiple asset classes, including equities, credit, and structured products, as evidenced by his involvement in analyzing multi-sector CDO transactions and credit market strategies. Throughout his tenure, Lifshitz has played a significant role in portfolio construction, risk assessment, and counterparty due diligence, contributing to Fir Tree’s reputation in alternative and event-driven investments.

Lifshitz holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and has also studied at Yeshiva University, strengthening his foundation in economics and finance. Before joining Fir Tree, he served as a Principal at Lehman Brothers Private Equity Advisors LLC, bringing extensive experience in private equity and corporate finance to his current work in hedge fund and alternative investments.
