Benjamin Clerget

Benjamin Clerget is a Portfolio Manager at Hudson Bay Capital Management LP, based in the United Kingdom, where he specializes in alternative investment strategies with a particular focus on equity derivatives, volatility trading, and catalyst-driven absolute return strategies. At Hudson Bay, he is responsible for overseeing portfolios that target traditional and non-traditional sources of alpha through diverse derivatives and event-driven approaches, often covering asset classes such as equity options, volatility arbitrage, dividends, correlation, exotic payoffs, and related listed products.

Benjamin Clerget holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (1999), complemented by a generalist engineering diploma from the same institution. Recognized for his development of innovative trading strategies in volatility, correlation, and derivatives, he has made significant contributions to European and global equity derivatives markets, establishing himself as a major actor in volatility trading and structuring since the early 2000s.
