Jeff Farkas

Jeff Farkas is a Managing Director on the High Yield & Leveraged Loans Team at Marathon Asset Management, based in New York City. He joined Marathon Asset Management in 2015 and is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and managing investments primarily in high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs).

His investment focus encompasses non-investment grade corporate debt markets, where he leverages deep expertise in credit analysis, structuring, and portfolio management. Over his career, Jeff has built significant experience covering sectors tied to credit, including roles as Senior Investment Analyst at RBS from 2008 to 2014 and at Bear Stearns from 2002 to 2008.

Jeff holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and a BS in Accounting from Villanova University. His multidisciplinary background and decades of experience have made him a respected figure in the high yield and leveraged finance communities, where he has contributed to the development and execution of innovative credit investment strategies.
