Devan Shah

Devan Shah is a partner at NISHKAMA CAPITAL, LLC in New York, NY. In his current role, he is responsible for investment sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management, with a strong emphasis on identifying high-growth opportunities in the public and private markets. Shah’s expertise is particularly focused on the biotechnology, healthcare, and life sciences sectors, where he leverages his diverse background in venture capital, investment banking, and business operations.

Shah began his career in healthcare investment banking at Citigroup and as a venture capital analyst at New Leaf Venture Partners, where he led analysis and due diligence on several billion dollars’ worth of deals spanning early- to late-stage companies. He later held leadership positions in business development and operations, including serving as founding head of business development at National Resilience, where he built the company's Nucleic Acids and Cell Therapy businesses from the ground up, negotiating major industry partnerships and advancing platform capabilities in genetic medicines, cell therapy, and nucleic acid manufacturing.

Shah holds an undergraduate degree from George Washington University as well as credentials from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is recognized for his significant contributions to advancing next-generation therapeutics, successfully raising capital, scaling biotech operations, and cultivating strategic alliances in the life sciences. His professional achievements span financial modeling, investment strategy, and translating innovative science into clinical and commercial success.
