Alexander Robinson

Alexander Robinson is a Partner, Co-Founder, and Head of Research at Tenor Capital Management Co., L.P., an alternative asset management firm based in New York City managing over $3 billion. In this role, he leads the firm’s research efforts and oversees idea generation and security selection, primarily focusing on convertible arbitrage, relative value strategies, and credit-oriented research in convertible securities.

Robinson’s investment expertise spans the convertible securities sector, litigation finance, and special situations including restructurings and special purpose acquisition companies. His core focus is on uncovering complex, idiosyncratic opportunities in convertible arbitrage and related asset classes, leveraging deep fundamental research and risk management.

Prior to Tenor, Robinson was a Vice President in convertible research at J.P. Morgan and DLJ/CSFB, and began his career as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics with honors from Haverford College and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Robinson is recognized as a significant contributor to the growth and reputation of Tenor Capital, one of the world's largest convertible arbitrage funds, and serves as Chairman of the Robinson Family Foundation and on multiple educational boards.
