Daniel Kochav

Daniel Kochav is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Tenor Capital Management Co., L.P., a New York-based investment firm specializing in convertible arbitrage, litigation finance, and special situations. In his role, he oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, strategic business initiatives, and helps drive firm-wide investment priorities. His leadership is instrumental in managing the firm's operations and cultivating a collaborative investment approach.

Kochav’s expertise spans a range of alternative investment strategies, particularly in derivatives-based trading such as convertible arbitrage, index arbitrage, structured finance, and special situations, as well as litigation finance. Throughout his career, he has built and led teams focused on complex asset classes and was previously responsible for building hedge fund-related businesses, including the founding team at Tenor.

Prior to joining Tenor in 2005, Kochav was Managing Director at Putnam Lovell NBF and TD Securities, overseeing derivatives, structured tax transactions, and private placements. He holds an MSc in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management from Concordia University, underpinning his decades-long track record building successful investment businesses.
