Robin Shah is the General Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Tenor Capital Management Co., L.P., based in New York. In this role, he leads the firm’s investment strategies in convertible arbitrage, litigation finance, and special situations, overseeing portfolio management, security selection, and risk management.
He has deep expertise in convertible securities, litigation funding, and relative value strategies, sectors where he develops and executes complex investments across a diverse range of industry verticals. Robin previously spearheaded the convertible arbitrage effort at Putnam Lovell NBF prior to its spin-off and co-founding of Tenor in 2004. Before that, he held senior trading and research roles in J.P. Morgan’s Convertibles and Relative Value, Equity Derivatives, and Fixed Income Derivatives groups.
Robin graduated summa cum laude with both an M.A. and B.A. in Economics from Yale University, and he is recognized in the investment industry for his leadership in alternative asset strategies and for advancing litigation funding as an institutional asset class.
