Jarrett Wegener

Jarrett Wegener serves as Portfolio Manager at Anson Funds, where he is responsible for overseeing the Risk Arbitrage and SPAC portfolios within the firm’s multi-strategy hedge funds. Based in New York, NY, he leads key investment initiatives focused on alternative equity, special situations, and event-driven strategies, primarily targeting public equity and structured products such as Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs).

Wegener's career has included senior roles at BMO Capital Markets, where he progressed from Institutional Equity Sales to Director, expanding his expertise in equities, corporate actions, and risk management from 2010 to early 2021. At Anson Funds, he leverages over a decade of capital markets experience to generate returns with low correlation to broad market indices and to capitalize on cross-sector merger opportunities, SPACs, and arbitrage trades.

He holds an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business, which underpins his analytical and strategic investment capabilities.
