Peter Brooks

Peter Brooks is the Co-Founder and former Managing Director of CornerStone Partners LLC, an asset management firm based in Charlottesville, Virginia, that managed assets for endowment and foundation clients, reaching approximately $10 billion in assets under management. At CornerStone, he focused on overseeing investment strategy, portfolio management, and client relations until the firm was sold in 2021, emphasizing multi-asset class strategies tailored to institutional clients.

His career prior to CornerStone included managing his private equity firm, Naushon Capital LLC, where he led acquisitions, financings, and restructurings in sectors such as medical research, high technology, and innovative manufacturing. Mr. Brooks also gained significant strategic expertise during his tenure as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in the Washington D.C. and New York offices, primarily focusing on corporate strategy and organizational realignment.

Peter Brooks holds an MBA and an MA in Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University, as well as a BA from Harvard College. His expertise spans private equity, asset management for institutions, and cross-sector corporate strategy; he is actively involved in non-profit governance and continues to contribute to the investment field through board service and educational roles.
