Shane Galie

Shane Galie, CFA, is a Partner and Managing Director at CornerStone Partners Capital Management, LLC, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. He serves as Co-Head of the Public Investments Team and is a member of both the firm's Management Committee and Investment Committee, sharing responsibility for overseeing CornerStone’s hedge fund and public equity investment portfolios. In his current role, Galie is deeply involved in sourcing, due diligence, and manager selection for both traditional and alternative public market strategies, with the firm managing approximately $11.6 billion for institutional clients as of December 2022.

His expertise is focused on public equity and hedge fund sectors, where he allocates assets and evaluates investment managers across global markets. Prior to joining CornerStone Partners, Galie held investment roles at the Dartmouth College Investment Office and the University of Virginia Investment Management Company, where he specialized in hedge funds and long-only public equities, with extensive experience in analyzing portfolio exposures and performance.

Shane Galie graduated summa cum laude as University Valedictorian from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. A CFA charterholder, he is also active in investment industry organizations, serving as co-chair of the Next Wave Sohn Hong Kong conference and participating in the CFA Institute and CFA Society Virginia.
