Cor Booysen

Cor Booysen is an Equity Portfolio Manager at Fairtree Capital, where he has been a key member of the investment team since 2013. In this role, he is responsible for managing listed equity portfolios, with a strong focus on resource and mining sectors, leveraging his deep industry knowledge to guide investment decisions.

Prior to joining Fairtree, Cor held senior investment positions including Mining Analyst at HSBC and Sector Head Resources at RMB Asset Management, providing specialist coverage of the resources sector and developing expertise in mining, metals, and related industries. He began his career as a mechanical engineer at De Beers Group, which gave him valuable insights into the operational and technical aspects of the resources industry.

Cor holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg. Over his career, he has been recognized for his sector-specific expertise and his analytical acumen in equity investments, particularly within the mining and resources space.
