George Koshy

George Koshy is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Alva Capital, LLC, a hedge fund based in New York, NY. In this capacity, he leads the firm’s overall strategy, investment management, and day-to-day operations, with a particular emphasis on portfolio construction and risk oversight.

Koshy specializes in managing investments across public and private markets, with a strong focus on alternative asset classes, including long/short equity, credit, and multi-strategy hedge funds. Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated sector expertise in global equities, credit derivatives, and structured products, deploying both fundamental and quantitative approaches to portfolio management.

Prior to founding Alva Capital in 2010, Koshy served as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and a Principal at Morgan Stanley, where he was instrumental in developing innovative trading and investment strategies for institutional clients. He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, and a BTech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, underscoring his analytical rigor and expertise in investment management.
