Amber Fairbanks

Amber Fairbanks is a Portfolio Manager at Impax Asset Management, where she co-manages the Impax Global Social Leaders strategy and US Large Cap strategy. Based in Boston, she leads portfolio construction and research focused on sustainable equities, helping launch new products with a particular emphasis on social investment themes. Her responsibilities center on identifying and investing in companies addressing major societal trends, leveraging proprietary frameworks to assess corporate culture and social impact.

Fairbanks’s expertise spans over 20 years in investment management, with previous roles including Portfolio Manager at Mirova, where she co-managed global, US, and international sustainable equity funds, and over a decade at Zevin Asset Management as Portfolio Manager and Senior Securities Analyst. At Impax, her sectoral focus includes the consumer discretionary and staples sectors, as well as companies benefiting from demographic and social change.

She holds an MBA from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and is a CFA charterholder. Recognized for her deep understanding of ESG factors and sustainable investing, Fairbanks is a member of the CFA Institute and Boston Security Analysts Society, and is widely respected for her contributions to advancing socially responsible investment strategies.
