Christine Cappabianca

Christine Cappabianca is Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Systematic Strategies at Impax Asset Management based in Boston, MA. She co-manages several of Impax’s flagship systematic equity strategies, including the US Sustainable Economy Strategy and the Impax Global Women's Leadership Strategy, collectively covering over $2.3 billion in assets under management. Her role focuses on designing and managing quantitatively-driven portfolios that target large-cap equities positioned for leadership in sustainability trends, particularly in sectors advancing environmental solutions and gender diversity.

Christine brings over 15 years of experience in quantitative investment management, with previous roles at Mellon as Senior (Quantitative) Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Director, Quantitative Analyst. At Impax, she is recognized for integrating proprietary quantitative models to identify companies demonstrating strong financial quality and leadership on sustainability, with a particular emphasis on gender-diverse organizations and firms enabling the transition to a sustainable economy.

She holds a Master of Science in Investment Management from Boston University’s School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Harvard University. Christine’s expertise spans systematic factor investing, ESG integration, gender lens investing, and sustainable thematic equities, making significant contributions to the advancement of data-driven methods for measuring and investing in sustainability and workplace diversity.
