Jake MacFarlane

Jake MacFarlane is the Senior Research Analyst at FourThought Financial Partners, LLC, where he plays a key leadership role on the investment committee. He is responsible for co-managing the firm's investment models, with a particular focus on individual equity strategies and company-specific research to tailor portfolios to client objectives. Jake also develops quantitative screening algorithms and manages the firm’s approach to alternative investments, overseeing fund selection and portfolio construction for diversified client solutions.

His investment expertise covers U.S. and international equities, small-cap strategies, and alternative asset classes, aiming to achieve balanced diversification and long-term risk management. As an active collaborator with the Chief Investment Officer, Jake leads efforts to innovate portfolio strategy, and he mentors junior analysts to ensure consistent research excellence.

Jake holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designations, supported by a finance degree from the University of South Florida. With a background that spans wealth management and insurance, he has contributed significantly to enhancing the firm’s investment process and client service standards through the adoption of quantitative and evidence-based approaches.
