Gavin Stephens

Gavin Stephens is the Chief Investment Officer at Goelzer Investment Management, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, he oversees the firm's investment philosophy, portfolio management strategies, and research, setting direction for both private client and institutional portfolios. Stephens leads the Investment Management team, which delivers proprietary research and comprehensive investment solutions across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, and non-traditional liquid alternatives.

Since joining Goelzer in 2014, Stephens has served as Director of Portfolio Management, where he was instrumental in developing and managing the firm's core investment strategies, including rising dividend equities and tailored fixed income solutions. His expertise spans U.S. equity markets, small and mid-cap stocks, fixed income, and alternative investments, with a focus on rigorous research and disciplined risk management. Prior to his career in investment management, Stephens held an executive leadership position at Westminster John Knox Press, where he managed strategic planning and corporate budgets.

Stephens holds an MBA from the University of Louisville, a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University, and a BA in Theological Studies from Hanover College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and an active member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Indianapolis.
