Kevin Mahn

Kevin Mahn is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Hennion & Walsh Asset Management, where he oversees the firm’s wealth and asset management products and services, including the SmartTrust® series of Unit Investment Trusts. He leads the investment strategy for both individual and institutional portfolios, with a specific focus on diversified asset allocation, mutual funds of ETFs, income strategies, and sector rotation across U.S. and international equities, as well as fixed income instruments and closed-end funds.

With over three decades of experience, Mahn previously held senior management roles at Lehman Brothers—serving as Chief Administrative Officer of the High Net Worth Product and Services group and Chief Operating Officer of Lehman Brothers Bank. He is recognized for developing target-risk-oriented mutual funds and is a frequent contributor to financial media, journals, and thought leadership platforms including Forbes and Seeking Alpha.

Mahn holds an M.B.A. in Finance (Investments) from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.A. in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College. He is a recipient of the 50 Under 50 alumni award from Fairleigh Dickinson, has served as an adjunct professor, and contributes to industry advancement through board positions and leadership within NICSA’s UIT Industry Committee, earning accolades such as the NICSA MVP Award and the Rising Stars of Mutual Funds recognition.
