He is instrumental in leading NewEdge Wealth’s expansion into northern New England and works directly with wealthy families, executives, and closely-held business owners to deliver tailored investment and financial planning solutions.

Ayer brings over two decades of experience in wealth management, previously holding senior advisory positions at Pallas Capital Advisors and Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., where he specialized in advising business owners, entrepreneurs, and multi-generational families. His expertise spans comprehensive wealth planning, succession strategies, and asset allocation with a particular emphasis on equities and alternative investments for business owners and private clients.

He holds an M.A. from Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Political Science from Gordon College. Throughout his career, Ayer has been recognized for his leadership in establishing new regional offices and his strategic advisory work with complex client needs, especially in the sectors of privately held businesses and tailored equity and alternative investment portfolios.
