Monika Garg

Monika Garg is a Partner and the lead Portfolio Manager for NicTech at Nicholas Investment Partners, L.P., based in Mountain View, California. She joined the firm in March 2019, launching and managing the NicTech strategy, which focuses on technology sector investments, particularly within the small- and mid-cap growth universe. As a technology specialist, she leads tech sector research and decision-making, leveraging more than 20 years of experience in technology and investment analysis.

Her prior experience includes a decade as Senior Equity Research Analyst at Pacific Crest Securities (now part of KeyBanc Capital Markets), where she covered vertical software, semiconductor, and solar industries, and over 10 years in the semiconductor industry at Cypress Semiconductor and Motorola as a senior design and software engineer. These roles inform her deep sector knowledge in software, semiconductors, and disruptive technology trends, which are central to her investment approach with NicTech.

Monika holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Punjab Engineering College, a Graduate Certificate in VLSI Design and Computer Hardware from Stanford University, and an MBA in Analytical Finance, Economics, and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is recognized for her fundamental research expertise and for contributing differentiated, industry-grounded perspectives to technology asset management.
