Alan Purintun

Alan Purintun is Principal and Director of Research at Oarsman Capital, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI, where he manages investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and institutions. In this role, he provides portfolio management, research, and client service, with a specialty in equity security valuation and global macroeconomic and financial market analysis. His investment focus spans all major economic sectors, with particular emphasis on diversified equity portfolios and complementary asset classes such as international, small-cap, and emerging market stocks.

Before co-founding Oarsman Capital in 2000, Purintun was First Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Baird Investment Management (Robert W. Baird & Co.), and earlier served as an intelligence officer with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C. His expertise is rooted in more than three decades of experience in asset management, research, and strategic analysis.

Purintun holds an MBA with honors from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA, magna cum laude, in history from Yale University. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997, underlining his commitment to excellence and analytical rigor in investment management.
