Alex Lusherovich

Alex Lusherovich is Managing Director of Trading and Operations at Seafarer Capital Partners, based in Berkeley, California. In this role, he leads and oversees all aspects of trade execution, portfolio operations, and technology initiatives, directly supporting Seafarer's investment strategies in global emerging markets.

He joined Seafarer Capital Partners in 2013, bringing expertise in electronic trading, operational efficiency, and trading infrastructure. Before Seafarer, Alex was with TORA Trading Services in Hong Kong, where he focused on electronic trade execution, trading operations, and product development, as well as earlier positions with long-short equity and small-cap fund managers. His responsibilities have included key contributions to Seafarer's access and risk management relating to emerging markets equity portfolios, such as the Seafarer Overseas Growth and Income Fund and the Value Fund, and expert navigation of complex trading environments like China’s Stock Connect program.

Alex holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. His work is integral to Seafarer's bottom-up, fundamental investment approach, and he is recognized for strengthening operational excellence and liquidity solutions across emerging market equities, particularly in Asia and other developing regions.
