Kate Jaquet

Kate Jaquet is Co-Portfolio Manager of the Seafarer Overseas Growth and Income Fund at Seafarer Capital Partners, LLC, based in San Francisco, California. She is responsible for portfolio construction, security selection, and risk management for the Fund, with particular focus on emerging markets and international equities. Her role includes overseeing research processes and managing macro risks, such as currency exposure, within the portfolio.

Kate’s investment expertise covers a breadth of sectors within emerging markets, with prior coverage of metals and mining, oil and gas, utilities, and both sovereign and corporate issuers in emerging economies. Before joining Seafarer in 2011, she served as a senior research analyst in high yield credit at Seneca Capital Management and previously held roles at Credit Suisse First Boston, where she covered Latin American and Asian bond issuers, and at the Adam Smith Institute as an economic policy researcher.

She holds a B.Sc. with Honors in Economics and Government and a M.Sc. in Economics and Public Policy, both from the London School of Economics. Kate is recognized for her analysis of macroeconomic and sector risks in emerging markets, and her leadership has contributed to the consistent performance and strategic direction of Seafarer’s flagship fund.
