Brent Clayton

Brent Clayton is a Co-Portfolio Manager at Seafarer Capital Partners, LLC, where he co-manages the Seafarer Overseas Value Fund. His responsibilities include equity research, portfolio construction, and overseeing investment decisions for strategies focused on global emerging and frontier markets. Clayton specializes in value-driven investment approaches and has deep expertise in identifying distinct sources of value in international equities, including breakup value and asset productivity, with a particular emphasis on companies based in emerging markets.

Prior to joining Seafarer in 2018, Brent was Co-Portfolio Manager, Head of Fundamental Research, and Equity Analyst at LR Global Partners, an investment firm dedicated to value-based investing in frontier and emerging market equities. His career evidences a strong analytical background in researching and evaluating businesses in less-developed market environments.

Brent holds an A.B. with Honors in Government from Dartmouth College and is a CFA charterholder. Through his roles, he has contributed significantly to advancing value investing strategies outside of developed markets, with published insights on practical challenges and sources of value in global investing.
