Arimey Altimari

Arimey Altimari, CFA, serves as Director and Fixed Income SMA Portfolio Manager at Sterling Capital Management LLC in Charlotte, NC. In her current role, she is responsible for managing and overseeing municipal fixed income separately managed accounts (SMAs), delivering institutional-grade portfolio management and supporting the firm’s client relationships in the municipal bond space. Her focus is on constructing and maintaining tailored municipal fixed income portfolios that emphasize risk management and consistent performance outcomes for clients.

Altimari joined Sterling Capital Management in 2018 and has accumulated investment experience since 2009, previously holding roles such as RFP & Database Manager at Sterling and Investment Officer at the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System. Her expertise is concentrated in municipal fixed income, with deep knowledge of sector-specific credit analysis, portfolio construction, and compliance oversight in municipal asset classes.

She earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Siena College and an M.S. in Accounting from the College of Saint Rose, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Altimari is recognized for her strong technical background, leadership in municipal bond portfolio management, and her contributions to the institutional fixed income investment community.
