Will Thompson

Will Thompson is an experienced equity analyst who served at Sterling Capital Management LLC in Charlotte, NC from 2002 to approximately 2006, specializing in research for concentrated Small, SMID, and Mid Cap Value equity products. During his tenure, he was responsible for in-depth fundamental analysis and investment recommendations within these asset classes, focusing on identifying undervalued securities with value-oriented strategies.

Before joining Sterling, Will built a diversified investment background as a junior analyst for Trinity Capital of Jacksonville and Courage Capital, both of which managed concentrated value-tilted portfolios. His experience is anchored by strong analytical skills and a proven record of using both quantitative and qualitative research to support portfolio management decisions.

Will holds an MBA with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation during his time at Sterling, demonstrating expertise in equity research and value investing across small- and mid-cap equities.
