Andra AP-fonden (AP2) is one of five buffer funds within the Swedish public pension system, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Founded in 2001, AP2 is one of Northern Europe’s largest pension funds, tasked by the Swedish Government with maximizing the long-term return on Swedish pension assets at low risk. The fund manages a broad, diversified global portfolio across nearly all asset classes and employs about 70 people. AP2 focuses on providing secure and stable management for mandatory Swedish pension capital and is recognized for leading expertise in sustainable, responsible investment.
Investment Strategy
AP2 pursues a diversified investment strategy that aims to provide the highest possible long-term return for Swedish pensions at a low risk. The fund combines an allocation across global equities, developed and emerging market bonds, private equity, real assets, and credits using an ALM-based model.
