Digi and Vodafone Acquire Telekom Romania Mobile Assets

Vodafone Romania and Digi Romania have signed binding agreements to acquire Telekom Romania Mobile Communications from OTE and Deutsche Telekom for a total of €70 million.
Vodafone will pay €30 million for the post-paid customer base, retail network, technical infrastructure, and employees, while Digi will pay €40 million for prepaid mobile services, certain spectrum licenses, towers, and related equipment.
The transaction, which has been approved by the Romanian Competition Council, is expected to complete in early October 2025.
The sale is projected to generate cash flow savings for OTE of approximately €10 million in 2025 and between €20-30 million annually from 2026 onwards.
