Kai Liu is a Partner at Bridgeway Capital Management, LLC, based in Houston, Texas. He has been with the firm since July 2011, where he leads investment research, risk management, and statistical modeling initiatives. His work is central to developing and refining Bridgeway’s evidence-based investment models, which are rigorously tested and data-driven to deliver consistent performance across market cycles.

Liu specializes in quantitative equity investing, with a focus on statistical research and risk management across U.S. equity markets. His expertise spans the development of multi-factor models and the application of advanced analytics to portfolio construction, supporting Bridgeway’s diversified factor and model orientation. Prior to joining Bridgeway, Liu held key roles as Director of Quantitative Research at Chicago Equity Partners and as an Associate at Citadel Investment Group. He holds an MS in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, an MS in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Liu is a CFA charterholder and is recognized for his contributions to advancing quantitative investment strategies and risk management practices in the industry.
