Kathy Stratton

Kathy Stratton, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager at Buckhead Capital Management LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, where she leads the firm’s Fixed Income and High Net Worth investment teams. Her primary responsibilities include fixed income portfolio construction, credit analysis, and tailored investment solutions for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Kathy’s expertise centers on fixed income securities, including Treasuries, Agency debentures, agency CMBS (commercial mortgage-backed securities), and ABS (asset-backed securities), with recent work demonstrating active reallocation strategies to higher-yielding structured sectors while maintaining strong liquidity and credit quality.

Prior to joining Buckhead Capital in 2007, Kathy was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Invesco, where she specialized in managing fixed income, equity, and balanced funds for institutional investors. She began her career with Bank of America and brings over 25 years of investment experience spanning a broad array of public market securities and client segments.

Kathy holds a B.S. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and is a CFA charterholder; she is an active member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Atlanta. Her significant contributions include advising county and institutional investment committees on portfolio policy and duration optimization, and she is recognized regionally for delivering strong, risk-aware income growth across multiple fixed income asset classes.
