Matt Reams

Matt Reams is a seasoned investment professional and founding partner at Buckhead Capital Management LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served from 1999 to 2018 as both a founding partner and portfolio manager. At Buckhead Capital, Reams was recognized for launching and leading the firm’s Small Cap Value Equity Strategy, which managed over $1 billion in institutional assets, and contributed to the firm’s peak total of more than $2.5 billion in client assets.

Reams specializes in value investing across public equities, with a particular focus on small-cap value stocks for institutional and high-net-worth client portfolios. He is known for his disciplined investment approach and expertise in constructing diversified, durable portfolios emphasizing capital preservation and long-term returns, including allocations to both traditional (stocks, bonds, ETFs) and alternative asset classes.
