Walter Dupre

Walter E. DuPre, CFA, is a Partner, Advisor, and Portfolio Manager at Buckhead Capital Management LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia. He leads portfolio management for the firm's Diversified Value, High Net Worth, and Value Equity investment teams, overseeing strategies that focus on publicly traded equities and fixed income securities for a diverse group of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, charitable organizations, and institutional investors.

DuPre specializes in value-oriented equity and fixed income investing, particularly within the sectors represented by his firm’s core advisory strategies. His expertise includes portfolio supervision for both individual and institutional clients, asset allocation, and financial planning. Prior to joining Buckhead Capital in 1996, he was Managing Director of the Southern regional office of Prudential Capital Group, where he managed a $2.5 billion portfolio of private debt and equity securities.

Walter DuPre holds a B.A. in English and American Literature from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia University, along with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is recognized for his commitment to the investment industry and community service, having chaired Prevent Blindness Georgia and held leadership roles in local organizations. He is an active member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta.
