Art Bascomb

Art Bascomb serves as Senior Research Analyst at Calamos Investments, where he leads research efforts focused on mid and large-cap stocks in the U.S. consumer sector, including retail, restaurants, apparel, gaming, lodging, consumer packaged goods (CPG), household and personal care (HPC), and media. His responsibilities include generating actionable investment insights and supporting portfolio strategy through deep sector analysis.

Prior to joining Calamos in 2018, Bascomb held senior analyst roles at Schroders and Prentice Capital, where he covered large-cap as well as all-cap equities in retail, apparel, leisure, CPG, and HPC, leveraging his expertise in consumer-facing industries to inform investment decisions across multiple asset classes. His extensive background has enabled him to contribute meaningful insights to both buy-side and sell-side research teams in leading investment firms.

Bascomb holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business and a B.A. in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University, underscoring his strong foundation in financial analysis and strategic communication. His notable achievements include developing sector strategies and leading research coverage for major institutional asset managers, with a particular focus on U.S. consumer-related equities.
