Eli Pars

Eli Pars is Co-Chief Investment Officer, Senior Co-Portfolio Manager, Head of Alternatives, and Co-Head of Convertible Strategies at Calamos Investments, based in Chicago, IL. In this senior leadership role, he oversees investment team resources, processes, performance, and risk, while directly managing teams and portfolio strategies in alternative and convertible asset classes. He is also a key member of the Calamos Investment Committee, providing top-down investment frameworks and oversight for risk and performance metrics.

Pars specializes in alternative investments, with a particular focus on convertible securities and structured protection ETFs™. He also actively manages and oversees strategies spanning alternative credit and income, with expertise in convertible arbitrage. His asset class expertise encompasses convertibles, alternative credit, and structured products, positioning him as a thought leader in these sectors.

With over 35 years of investment industry experience, Pars previously held senior portfolio management roles at Chicago Fundamental Investment Partners, Mulligan Partners LLC, and Ritchie Capital. He began his career at Calamos as Assistant Portfolio Manager and later rejoined the firm in 2013. Pars earned a BA in English Literature from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, underscoring his deep analytical and strategic investment acumen.
