Chad Cleaver

Chad Cleaver, CFA, is the lead portfolio manager for the Driehaus Emerging Markets Small Cap Equity strategy and a portfolio manager for the Driehaus Emerging Markets Growth strategy at Driehaus Capital Management LLC in Chicago. He is responsible for idea generation, security selection, portfolio construction, risk management, and macro-level analysis for these funds, focusing on publicly traded companies in emerging markets, with a particular emphasis on small-cap equities and high-growth sectors.

Prior to joining Driehaus in 2004, Mr. Cleaver was a Research Assistant in the Division of International Finance at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, where he co-authored research on international capital flows. His early career work and published research demonstrate his strong analytical foundation and expertise in global finance and macroeconomics.

Mr. Cleaver holds an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Economics from Wabash College. He is a CFA charterholder, and has been active in professional associations such as the CFA Society of Chicago, contributing to industry thought leadership and supporting the development of young finance professionals.
