Jeff James

Jeffrey James serves as the lead portfolio manager at Driehaus Capital Management LLC, overseeing the firm's Micro Cap Growth, Small Cap Growth, and Small/Mid Cap Growth strategies. His responsibilities include portfolio construction, risk management, buy and sell decision-making, and the implementation of Driehaus' investment philosophy, with a focus on generating investment ideas and analyzing macroeconomic trends and market environments.

Mr. James has notable expertise in U.S. equities, particularly in micro cap, small cap, and small/mid cap growth stocks. Earlier in his career, he worked at Lehman Brothers, followed by an analyst role at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago before joining Driehaus in 1997 as a sector analyst covering the information technology and energy sectors.

He has managed a variety of equities strategies at Driehaus since 1998, including their long/short hedge fund from 2001 to 2005. Mr. James holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University, underscoring his deep expertise in finance, portfolio management, and growth investing within the technology and energy sectors.
