Brecon Hession

Brecon Hession is an Associate on First Eagle Alternative Credit’s Direct Lending team, based in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, Brecon focuses on underwriting and portfolio management for private credit transactions, with a particular emphasis on non-sponsor and lower-middle market direct lending, supporting the firm's alternative credit strategies.

Prior to joining First Eagle in July 2025, Brecon served as a Research and Underwriting Analyst at LBC Credit Partners, where he gained experience in credit analysis and deal structuring, primarily within the private debt and direct lending space. His earlier leadership experience includes serving as Chief Investment Officer and Board Member at Georgetown Collegiate Investors, LLC, where he was responsible for investment oversight and portfolio strategy.

Brecon holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from Georgetown University and has additional academic credentials from Penn State University and Abington Senior High School. He is recognized for his expertise in private credit, underwriting, and lower-middle market lending, and his work supports First Eagle’s efforts in sourcing and managing uncorrelated, higher-yielding credit opportunities.
