Fernando Freijedo

Fernando Freijedo is a Sovereign Research Analyst at First Eagle Investments in New York, where he is part of the firm’s Global Value team. In this role, he focuses on the analysis of sovereign risk and debt, providing country-level macroeconomic and sovereign credit insights that directly inform investment decisions across fixed income and multi-asset portfolios. His coverage encompasses global sovereign debt markets, with an emphasis on fundamental and long-term risk factors affecting the performance of public sector issuers.

Before joining First Eagle in 2022, Fernando served as a Senior Associate Analyst and previously an Associate Analyst in the Sovereign Risk Group at Moody’s Investors Service, where he contributed to sovereign credit ratings and research across emerging and developed markets. His experience includes evaluating sovereign creditworthiness, macroeconomic trends, and policy developments for sovereign entities, shaping his expertise in international fixed income and sovereign risk analysis.

Fernando holds a graduate degree from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and a Bachelor’s degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. He is recognized for his analytical rigor and has contributed to the development of sovereign debt, FX, and country risk strategies within institutional investment management.
