Max Belmont

Max Belmont is Portfolio Manager of the Gold strategy and Senior Research Analyst on the Global Value team at First Eagle Investments, based in New York City. In his current role, he oversees strategy and research dedicated to gold investment, as well as fundamental analysis for the global value mandates, with a particular focus on precious metals and the aerospace sector. He is widely recognized within the industry for his expertise in gold as a strategic portfolio asset, gold bullion, gold-related equities, and resilient investment strategies across real assets.

Prior to joining First Eagle Investments in 2014, Mr. Belmont held positions as Senior Performance Analyst at U.S. Trust and Investment Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. These roles provided him with experience in performance analytics and multi-asset portfolio construction across private wealth and institutional channels.

Mr. Belmont holds a Master's degree in International Finance from the School of International Finance at Hfwu Nuertingen. He is noted for his deep practical and theoretical knowledge of gold and real assets, his contributions to thought leadership on the role of gold in portfolio risk management, and his influence in shaping First Eagle’s disciplined investment approach to precious metals.
