Michael Grazidei

Michael Grazidei is the Senior Vice President and Head of Trading at First Eagle Investments, based in New York, NY. In his current role, he oversees all trading activities for the firm, focusing on effective execution and risk management across the company’s investment strategies. His responsibilities include leading and managing the trading team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing trading technology and processes for the firm’s global portfolios.

Grazidei’s sector coverage spans global equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies, consistent with First Eagle’s emphasis on preservation of capital and benchmark-agnostic investing. He has operated in numerous senior trading roles at First Eagle since 2009, including serving as SVP Trader and Co-Head of Trading prior to his current position, and previously led the firm's technology team — highlighting his expertise in integrating technology with trading operations.

He holds a BBA in Finance from Baruch College and a high school diploma from Xaverian. Recognized for his disciplined expertise in equity, fixed income, and gold-related assets, Grazidei has helped shape First Eagle’s reputation for resilience and strong downside mitigation, supporting the stewardship of $128 billion in client assets as of late 2023.
