Graham Day

Graham Day, CFA, is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Innovator ETFs, based in Chicago, Illinois. In his role, he oversees product development, capital markets, and research, with a focus on the creation and expansion of defined outcome ETFs—including Buffer and Dual Directional ETF strategies that provide risk-managed equity exposures and transparent alternatives to traditional structured products.

With deep expertise in exchange-traded funds, Day develops innovative vehicles across major asset classes such as U.S. and international equities, as well as alternative investment solutions aiming to deliver upside potential and risk mitigation for institutional and retail clients. Throughout his career, he has concentrated on shaping investment products at the intersection of equity markets, options strategies, and outcome-oriented portfolios.

Before joining Innovator in 2017, Day held senior roles in product development and research at Elkhorn Investments and Invesco PowerShares, contributing to the early ETF ecosystem. He is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Society of Chicago, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College, Illinois. Day is a recognized authority frequently featured in leading financial media, reflecting his significant contributions to ETF innovation and outcome-based investment design.
